Nurse training to be scaled up to tackle staffing issues
Manx Care is seeing increasing demand on its services, and there will be 'difficult decisions to come' regarding what is 'affordable and sustainable'.
That's from the Health Minister, who has been presenting the body's annual report to Tynwald this morning.
Lawrie Hooper told gathered members next year's mandate will have a focus on understanding the true cost of services currently provided, so they can start to make some of these decisions.
He says there are hopes staffing issues can also be tackled to help ease pressure on the service.
