Follows talks between company and Isle of Man Government
Manx based Steam Packet staff will not have to self-isolate when returning to the Island.
That’s according to the Isle of Man Government which says revised measures have now been agreed.
It follows what have been described as ‘constructive’ talks between the parties this week.
Risk assessments for staff working on the vessels have now been reviewed after confusion over a direction notice issued by government to the operator.
The assessments set out requirements for crew and passengers - including the use of PPE, social distancing and the interaction between Isle of Man and UK based crew members.
A new testing regime will also be introduced with crew tested at the beginning and the end of each shift.
The new arrangements have been approved by the Island’s director of public health.
UK based crew will still be required to self-isolate.
