Hearing adjourned until April
A Ramsey man’s facing trial for possessing an amount of cocaine so small it was described in court as a “trace amount”.
Michael Anthony Brown of Stanley Mount East appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse this week.
He’s charged with possessing the class A drug on January 17.
The hearing was told Mr Brown had been arrested by police investigating another matter – but when he was searched police found a plastic baggy.
Inside was a tiny amount of white powder which tested positive as cocaine.
Mrs Hughes adjourned the hearing for a pre-trial review, which will be held on April 2, and bailed Mr Brown in the sum of £500.
