DEFA urges public to shop closer to home
The new Food Business Development Manager is urging the public to go local for food and drink for their Christmas dinners.
Andrew Lees - who took up the post on November 26 - says Manx firms are ready to meet the high demand in one of the busiest times of the year.
Last year, many relied on local producers when bad weather affected supplies in the supermarkets.
Mr Lees says they're ready for the rush this time around:
Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital closure 'inconvenient' but 'significant issues' need to be fixed
Four local authorities looking for by-election candidates
Reinstatement of home births 'remains at top of agenda' for Manx Care
Weekend sailings at risk
