DEFA is urging people to remember fly-tipping is a criminal offence
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is reminding people on the Isle of Man that fly tipping is a criminal offence.
It's after a recent incident near Dalby.
A large amount of glass mixed in with gardening and building materials was dumped near the Round Table Road.
DEFA says it poses serious risks to the natural environment, wildlife and livestock and also recreational users and their pets.
Meanwhile, the Isle of Man Constabulary says it's a criminal offence with penalties of up to £5,000.
Anyone getting rid of waste is being urged to check how and where their waste will be disposed of to stop it being dumped illegally.
