Rules changed after local resident had started her 14-day quarantine
A local woman, who's currently self-isolating, says it's 'ridiculous' that shorter quarantine periods haven't been retrospectively applied to those already in isolation.
Tanya Anderson has to isolate for 14 days having travelled off Island, for a few hours last week, to collect two rescue cats.
Returning residents can now opt for seven-day isolation - the cost of testing has also been reduced.
She says a number of locals are now considering travelling again to shorten their isolation:
No increase in domestic gas prices for rest of 2026
Law targeting sale of nicotine pouches takes step further
Procurement process for Kirk Onchan Post Office continuing
Bus station will not be moved to the Sea Terminal
