Other cases of alleged historical child abuse to be heard
An investigation into abuses at the former Knottfield children's home in Douglas is to be expanded.
Following a series of revelations, the Tynwald committee leading the inquiry will now hear evidence on other cases of alleged historical child abuse in the Island.
Claims of an organised 'paedophile ring' during the 1970s and 1980s will be among those examined.
The committee was due to publish findings on Knottfield next month, but this has now been delayed.
Committee chairman David Cretney addressed Tynwald yesterday.
