20% cut in number of king scallops allowed to be caught
Thirty three Manx boats are expected to start fishing for king scallops from Friday.
1 November is the start of the season.
It follows a difficult queen scallop season in which catches were cut and fishing areas restricted to protect stocks.
There will be a twenty percent cut in the number of king scallops allowed to be caught because of uncertainty in the market, including question marks over Brexit.
