Improvement after spike of vandalism
The new chairman of Onchan Commissioners believes behaviour is improving in the village following a spike in vandalism.
Martin Macfarlane was elected to the post at the board's annual general meeting last week.
In recent months, vandals have reportedly targeted vehicles, the Groudle Glen Railway, and even a graveyard.
Social media users have dubbed those responsible the 'Onchan Mafia'.
Mr Macfarlane, who also works with the Youth Service, says authorities are tackling the 'root causes' of anti-social behaviour - and adds social media can blow things out of proportion.
