Manx charity responds to State of Nature report
The Isle of Man has an international responsibility when it comes to protecting certain species, or face losing them forever.
The warning comes from the outgoing Managing Director of Manx BirdLife Neil Morris in response to the State of Nature report 2023.
It has been put together by more than 60 organisations, including wildlife conservation groups, government agencies and academics, looking back at around 50 years of research.
It's found that natural spaces and the wildlife that depends on them are in decline, which Mr Morris says is hugely worrying:
Peel bar impacted by bus strikes
Care funding reform report delayed following ministerial change
Charity plans baby loss memorial garden at Noble's Hospital
New rights for neonatal care leave and carer's leave on the way
