Viking burials on "Digging up Britain's Past"
The Island's Viking heritage feature on a documentary series on Channel 5 last night (Sat 5/01)
"Digging up Britain's past", which is presented by Helen Skelton, discussed Viking burial mounds and items which have been found during digs there over the years with Alison Fox from Manx National Heritage.
It also showed some of the artefacts now on display at the Manx Museum and highlighted one of the more shocking aspects of some Viking burials . . . such as the one at Ballateare in Jurby.
