Jackson lost his life at 2018 MGP
An inquest into the death of a popular motorcycle racer has been opened and adjourned at Douglas Courthouse.
Alan Jackson, known to many as 'Bud', died in a crash during this year's Manx Grand Prix on 24 August.
He was 62.
A post mortem report found the Kendall rider died of multiple injuries, after colliding with a wall and a road sign near the Creg-ny-Baa.
Police are still investigating the incident.
Adjourning the inquest until a date to be fixed, Coroner of Inquests Jayne Hughes passed on her condolences to his family and friends.
A funeral for Jackson, who was a pub landlord by trade, can now take place.
