Michelle Haywood to take feedback on Douglas and Onchan proposals
The infrastructure minister is holding two drop-in sessions for Douglas and Onchan residents to discuss proposed changes to speed limits in residential areas.
Michelle Haywood will be available at the Sea Terminal in Douglas on Friday, 20 June from 1pm to 4pm, and again on Wednesday, 25 June from 3.30pm to 6pm.
The sessions are part of an ongoing public consultation and aim to gather feedback from the local community.
Maps showing the proposed changes are currently on display near the Sea Terminal entrance and can also be viewed at Onchan Commissioners’ Office, Onchan Library, Douglas City Hall, and the Henry Bloom Noble Library until Friday, 4 July.
The proposals are part of a wider Island-wide initiative to reduce speed limits in residential and school areas to 20mph over the next 18 months, following Tynwald support in 2020 and 2023.
Members of the public can submit feedback via email, post, or through an interactive online portal.
