An Island developer has applied for permission to build 14 new industrial and warehouse units on the edge of the capital.
Dandara wants to put the new buildings on the Cooil Smithy site on the Isle of Man Business Park in Braddan.
The company says the plans for the site on Cooil Road are similar to those it’s already had approved but a more precise survey means one block can be bigger.
In its application, Dandara says that means the site can be used more efficiently and a slightly larger car park can be built.
The previous application, approved by planners in June, had just twelve units in two blocks.
The amendments come after the firm found more space on the one and a half acres following more precise surveys.
It says as a result it can fit two more units inside Block B, which would mean more car parking spaces are needed under planning guidelines.
You can find the application online – and comment on it – on the government’s website gov.im
