Bus drivers to work to rule MGP race week

Bus drivers will ‘work to rule’ next week after a dispute about annual leave was unresolved.

Negotiations between the Department of Infrastructure and drivers’ union Unite have broken down.

The DoI wants to significantly reduce the number of drivers who are granted annual leave each TT fortnight.

Union chiefs say while compromise is key, the proposal is unfair.

Unite head Eric Holmes stresses drivers will not strike next week but drivers will only fulfil their contracted hours and not work overtime.
