Restoration work building momentum
The Friends of the Queen's Pier are officially 'passing the baton' to the Queen's Pier Restoration Trust tomorrow (Sat 21st), in what Chairman Michael Tramontana describes as 'a symbolic gesture'.
Michael has been campaigning for a rejuvenation of the historical asset for almost 25 years, and after a long series of set-backs, he thinks the project is finally building up a head of steam.
For more information or to get involved, go to www.ramseypier.co.uk or search 'Queens Pier Trust' on Facebook.
At 1pm, Mr Tramontana will present the Queen's Pier Trust with a cheque for around eleven thousand pounds.
And this is his message for the Manx people:
Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital closure 'inconvenient' but 'significant issues' need to be fixed
Four local authorities looking for by-election candidates
Reinstatement of home births 'remains at top of agenda' for Manx Care
Weekend sailings at risk
