Hickman to undergo surgery to tackle severe nerve damage in arm

TT lap record holder gives update on injuries sustained at this year's event

TT lap record holder Peter Hickman will undergo surgery to tackle a nerve issue that's affecting his right arm eight weeks after crashing during this year's TT qualifying.

The 14-time race winner suffered a number of broken bones after coming off his bike at Kerrowmoar at the end of practice week.

In a video on his social media pages, Hickman confirmed his fractures are healing well, but severe nerve damage means he currently can't lift his right arm well.

He says lots of supporters have been asking when he'll be riding again:
