Manx citizens should ignore fraudsters calling and claiming to be from HM Revenue & Customs according to the Office of Fair Trading.
Many have still been receiving calls as part of the 'phising scam', with callers asking for personal and financial details.
The OFT's Chief Inspector of Trading Standards John Peet says the public should 'just put the phone down' ignore them, and warn family, friends and neighbours about the scam.
