
Plans by regional airline Flybe to cut 500 jobs will be discussed by the Island's passenger watchdog TravelWatch this weekend.
The cuts are expected to result in the loss of some Flybe routes although it's not yet known where the axe will fall.
Flybe operates flights from the Island to Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham and until next spring, Gatwick.
Direct air links to Scotland were lost earlier this year and there's uncertainty over BA services to London City for next summer.
TravelWatch will discuss what it regards as a serious situation at its public meeting at the Villa Marina on Saturday, starting at 10am.
