Treasury Minister to seek approval for new tax strategy in Tynwald this week
Government needs to find way to raise more money without penalising working people.
That's from Treasury Minister Alex Allinson ahead of a debate on a new tax strategy in Tynwald later this week.
Dr Allinson says most of his department's revenue comes from individuals instead of businesses.
While it's hoped the strategy will increase government income, the minister has told Manx Radio he's mindful of the burden on the taxpayer:
