Gov't 'needs to listen to local authorities' on housing

New housing board chair urges gov't to tap in to local authorities' experience

Government needs to be listening to local authorities on housing issues rather than ignoring them.

That's the view of the newly-appointed chair of the Housing and Communities Board David Ashford.

Tynwald is due to consider proposals to form a housing association this month, with the Department of Infrastructure seeking views from the local authorities.
