Polling stations close on day of General Election

Voters have had 12 hours to choose their MHKs

Polling stations around the Isle of Man have now closed.

Voters have spent the last 12 hours casting their votes in the Manx General Election.

The polls were open between 8am and 8pm.

People are choosing who they want to be elected to the House of Keys.

Eighty-two candidates stood for a position as an MHK; the 24 elected will serve a five-year term to 2031.

Ballot boxes will be taken to the count location in each constituency before votes are counted and then announced.
