Customers expected to spend £2,840 per year
The average domestic energy bill for householders in the Isle of Man will be £2,840 a year.
That's according to the Treasury - the figure compares with the predicted UK average of £3,549 after the raising of the energy price cap.
It's based its calculations around the current prices for electricity and gas - it follows the decision to freeze electricity charges at current levels until March next year.
It's stated that the average Manx household will spend £70 per month on electricity across a whole year - taking in seasonal variations.
The calculation is based on a unit price of 22 pence which adds up to £840 per year.
When it comes to gas the average annual bill will be £2,000 based on pricing which comes into effect on 1 September.
The figures produced by Treasury do not include costs for solid fuel use.
