Lonan and Maughold pay more, Laxey less
Garff Commissioners have announced rates will increase this year for residents of Lonan and Maughold.
However, residents of Laxey will see a small decrease as part of efforts to equalise the amounts paid across the sheading since the three authorities merged in 2016.
Chairman Nigel Dobson says the overall income from rates remains unchanged for the third year in a row.
Plans are in place to develop further services over the next 12 months though, including resources to help the Department of Infrastructure keep public rights of way clear.
