Tim Kenyon said the vote taken in December 'failed' the residents of Laxey and Lonan
A Garff Commissioner has resigned from the board following its decision to support Manx Utilities sewage treatment works in Axnfell Plantation.
Tim Kenyon said in a statement to the board at its meeting last night that it had been a 'great privilege' to represent the people of Lonan.
He added that the vote taken at the commissioners December meeting on the sewage works 'failed' to represent the views of residents in the parish.
Mr Kenyon had served on the local authority for 10 years after being voted in in a by-election in 2016.
He added: "I am grateful for the confidence and support they [residents] have trusted in me, by twice voting for me represent them. I have tried my best to support and help them with any issues they have raised."
