East Douglas MHK keen to see Manx legislation updated
An MHK says the Island's legislation surrounding fraud needs updating.
East Douglas member Clare Bettison will introduce the Island's first ever Fraud Bill to the House of Keys next week.
There is currently no law specifically covering crimes of that nature in place over here; with financial criminals instead dealt with under the Theft Act 1981.
Miss Bettison the general response to the idea has been positive:
