Hopes review will help target funding
The government doesn't have limitless funds to deal with flood management, but will do what it can with the resources available.
That's according to Chief Minister Howard Quayle, who's been speaking in the wake of his announcement an independent review of October's flood in Laxey will be carried out by a UK company, Arup.
That's set to include an open evening for village residents in December, who will be asked to share their experiences and local knowledge.
Mr Quayle says the review should help to indicate how best to target the funding:
