Douglas crews tackle Marine Drive grass fire
Firefighters from Douglas station were called out to Marine Drive last night after a firework caused a grass fire (Saturday 2 November).
Crews were called out at around 11pm to reports of the blaze on the cliffside, with the grass well alight by the time they got there.
Officers say it was an entirely preventable incident that tied up the emergency responders for around an-hour-and-a-half whilst they extinguished the fire and dampened the area.
