Civil Defence called to assist emergency services
Fire crews were called to help a person inside a car, hit by waves on Douglas promenade.
Teams had to push the vehicle to safety, where the person who'd sustained injuries, was treated by paramedics.
Civil Defence has also been called in to help as the stretch from the Sea Terminal to Broadway is shut, due to the extreme coastal overtopping.
People are asked to completely avoid the area.
