42-metre turntable ladder used at Manx Petroleum's site
Crews from Douglas Fire Station have been taking part in a joint training exercise on Battery Pier today (25 July).
They attended Manx Petroleum's site to utilise the 42-metre turntable ladder.
A pretend 'casualty' was extracted over a wall from a tight space after being rescued by specially trained staff.
Officers say the 'collaborative approach' produced a more 'casualty focused route of exit whilst simultaneously reducing risk of injury to rescuers'.
