Age Concern speak out
There are fears a decision to scrap funding for Meals on Wheels services could leave elderly Islanders isolated and malnourished.
Age Concern has been delivering hot dinners to around 300 residents for the last decade.
Yesterday, the Department of Health and Social Care announced it would no longer be subsidising the service as of January next year.
The charity says it's 'shocked' at the lack of consultation on the matter.
Chief Executive of Age Concern Helen Southworth says it provides more than just a meal:
Senior medical leaders 'reject' results of rapid bed review
Ramsey Commissioners looking for planning approval for new social housing
Students split on prospect of under-16 social media ban
