Michael Commissioners' fun day to raise money for victims of Nepal floods

The local authority says funds from a raffle and bake sale will go to Pahar Trust

Michael Commissioners' says its village fun day will raise money for victims of the Nepal and Tibet floods. 

The local authority added the fundraising decision was made before the 'tragic events' started but raffle and bake sales will go towards the Pahar Trust. 

It adds that the decision was made by Michael Young Commissioners and its thoughts are with the communities who have been affected by the recent devastating events.

Kirk Michael has been twinned with the village of Ghamrang since 1993 and has since 'actively' raised funds for educational and infrastructure projects. 

The fun day is taking place on Sunday, 6 September from 12-4 at Kirk Michael Football Club.
