Jury not reach verdict on second charge
A former soldier accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend has walked free from court this afternoon (Thursday).
A jury at Douglas Courthouse found Lee Dillon not guilty of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Meanwhile, jurors were unable to reach a verdict on a second charge of unlawful wounding.
Twenty-eight year-old Mr Dillon always denied fracturing his former partner’s eye socket and stabbing her three times at his home in Marown in August 2016.
He’s been bailed until September 28 when a trial review will be held.
The jury, which deliberated for around five hours today, has been discharged.
