Engineers on site to reassure residents
Around 60 properties at Janet's Corner in Castletown have been without gas for several hours today.
The interrruption came while Manx Gas was carrying out mains renewal work on its network in the estate - but the cause of the problem isn't known.
The company says supplies have now been restored and at no time were members of the public in any danger.
As a precaution, Manx Gas engineers will remain on site in Janet's Corner this evening, to offer reassurance to residents.
Anyone with concerns should speak to an engineer, or call Manx Gas on freephone 08081 624444 or direct 644444.
