Meanwhile, DoI's Bring Bank vehicle is off the road
Douglas council says the Eastern Civic Amenity Site cannot accept any more plastic recycling material as a 'technical issue' means they cannot be emptied.
It's as the Department of Infrastructure says its Bring Bank collection vehicle has been off the road since last week awaiting a replacement gearbox - which, due to its bespoke nature, it hasn't been able to source.
The council is advising Douglas residents to use the kerbside service or to stockpile until the site can once again collect plastic.
It says that won't be happening for the foreseeable future, however, and has apologised for any inconvenience.
