Councillor believes it will need a joined up approach with government to tackle the problem
Douglas needs to both improve the quality and increase the number of its social houses, according to a newly elected councillor.
David Cretney first served on the council in the 1980s, before spending over 30 years representing Douglas South in the House of Keys.
He's told the Mannin Line that housing has always been raised as an issue by his constituents throughout his political career.
But, Mr Cretney believes it will take a joined up approach with government to tackle the problem:
