Govt will work with third sector - Quayle
The chief minister says a broad review is needed of problems which lead Island residents to seek help from a food bank.
Howard Quayle was asked in the Keys what government is doing to remove dependence on charity hand-outs.
The question from Onchan MHK Rob Callister came after the Island's Food Bank revealed around 10 people are requesting their help each week.
Mr Quayle said government couldn't solve the problem on its own, but would work with the third sector.
He said there's no quick fix, as those driven to seek help for immediate needs are affected by different factors:
Doctors accept three-year pay offer
Seven acts promulgated in final Tynwald Day ceremony before election
Sharp rise in data breaches on Island, says Information Commissioner's Office
Footage circulating on social media 'now an active investigation'
