Teenager will be sentenced in October
A disqualified driver from Douglas will be sentenced later this year after being caught driving.
Daniel Shane Philip Friel, of Heather Crescent, appeared at Douglas Courthouse where he admitted being behind the wheel on 4 April and having no insurance.
The 19-year-old was spotted driving a Ford transit van on Loch Promenade, and Peel Road, by a police officer; the teenager was banned from the road for drug driving in March 2023.
A social enquiry report has been requested before Friel is sentenced on 1 October; bail continues.
Update: During sentencing Friel was handed a one-year probation order, banned from driving for a year and ordered to pay prosecution costs of £50.
