Lawrie Hooper MHK says it's "quite possible"
An MHK says it's "quite possible" Chief Minister Howard Quayle's climate 'emergency' declaration wouldn't have happened when it did, were it not for Daphne Caine's motion to Tynwald this week.
Mrs Caine tabled a motion to the court: "that it believes the Isle of Man faces an environmental and climate emergency" and that government should allocate "resources to take urgent and significant action."
Shortly before the sitting, the chief minister declared the state of 'emergency' at an active travel media event.
Coincidence?
