Hooper says releasing evidence would be ‘fundamentally wrong’
Staff working in the Department of Health and Social Care are living in ‘fear’ of repercussions after their former boss was found to have undermined their right to dignity at work.
That’s the accusation made by current minister Lawrie Hooper who says they have been ‘deeply affected’ following an investigation into the sacking of Rob Callister.
An independent report found that he’d behaved inappropriately – something he apologised for yesterday (21 March).
Mr Hooper told Tynwald making the evidence they'd given public would be ‘fundamentally wrong’ despite calls from other political colleagues to do so:
