Government to assess conditions throughout the afternoon
A decision on whether or not the Island's schools will reopen tomorrow will now be made by 5.30pm.
The Isle of Man Government had hoped to made an announcement this lunchtime.
However, it's now going to continue to assess conditions throughout the afternoon, with an amber weather warning for snow currently in force.
Chief Officer of the Department of Home Affairs Dan Davies chairs government's Adverse Weather Group, and explained how the decision is made on Manx Radio Breakfast this morning:
Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital closure 'inconvenient' but 'significant issues' need to be fixed
Four local authorities looking for by-election candidates
Reinstatement of home births 'remains at top of agenda' for Manx Care
Weekend sailings at risk
