Five vacancies soon to be available on Legislative Council
There will be an extra vacancy up for grabs on the Legislative Council at the end of next month.
That’s after experienced MLC David Anderson announced he would be retiring from Manx politics.
Mr Anderson was first elected as Glenfaba MHK in 2001 before topping the poll again in 2006 and 2011.
A former education, transport and health minister, he was elected to the upper house in 2015 for a five year-term.
The terms of four other members of the Legislative Council are due to expire in late February with an election scheduled to be held on 12 March.
