Ramsey authority wants to avoid public discord
Ramsey Commissioners says it's keen to avoid a repeat of the 'Post Office' saga in deciding the future of the town's former courthouse building.
It's hoped a well-received public consultation on the matter will influence government's eventual decision on how to use the property.
Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson speculated last week that it's 'likely' the building will be put on the open market.
That move would likely cause discord among residents, many of whom rallied against the privatisation of the town's Post Office in 2014.
But Commissioners' chairman Andy Cowie says taking public feedback at an early stage should prevent poor decisions being made down the line:
