The government is looking for prospectors to look for metal ores on the Island – but it’ll probably involve more than panning for gold.
Silver, lead and zinc have been mined on the Island in the past, and the geology of the Isle of Man suggests there could also be copper and barium.
Now, the Treasury is inviting organisations and individuals to prospect 10,000 hectares of land looking for mineral reserves.
