All its milk will now be supplied to the Isle of Man Creamery
A Manx dairy has announced it’s stopping its milk round deliveries from the end of January 2026.
Cooil's Dairy says it's been serving the south with its milk for 75 years.
The decision is said to have been made so the focus can be on the farming side of its operation and because of the significant investment needed to continue retailing.
Owner, Juan Hargreaves, says: "We’ve been proud to provide fresh, locally produced milk to our customers for many years."
"While it is the right time for us to refocus on farming, we’re grateful for the loyalty and support we’ve received from our community."
Cooil's Dairy has been a long-standing member of the Isle of Man Creamery farmers cooperative, sending approximately 80 percent of the milk produced to the Creamery per annum.
From 1 February, all milk produced by Cooil's Dairy will be supplied to the Isle of Man Creamery, where it will be processed, packaged, and distributed as part of the Creamery’s Island-wide doorstep delivery rounds to residential, retail and catering customers.
"We’ve loved our time delivering to our customers and building relationships within the community." Juan added.
"We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported us over the years, and we’re sure to still bump into you all around the South!"
Cooil's Dairy will be making its last deliveries to customers on 31 January 2026.
