Consumer inflation remains same for third month in a row

Consumer inflation in the Isle of Man has fallen, standing at 5.7-percent for November, making it the third month in a row it's remained the same.

Electricity, eggs and tea are some of the biggest contributors, with electricity up 34.8 percent in comparison to 12-months ago.

Fruit, gas, oil and other fuels see decreases.

In comparison to the 12-months to October, gas is down 18.1-percent, women's outerwear also down 7.9-percent and fruit is cheaper by 4.5-percent.

Those figures are all changes over the period of a year, but looking at the monthly change, food is up 0.2-percent, alcohol is down 0.5-percent, while the biggest increase is in fares and other travel costs, which sees an increase of 27.3-percent.
