Dr Ewart cites Guernsey as an example
The director of public health says she would like to see a ‘clear period of time’ of no new Covid-19 cases before lockdown restrictions lift.
Henrietta Ewart was speaking at an exit strategy briefing this afternoon.
Asked if the current circuit break would be extended she cited Guernsey as an example.
It took the Channel Island five weeks to get to the point of no new community coronavirus cases.
Dr Ewart says she thinks it will be some time before thinking of adjusting restrictions:
Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital closure 'inconvenient' but 'significant issues' need to be fixed
Four local authorities looking for by-election candidates
Reinstatement of home births 'remains at top of agenda' for Manx Care
Weekend sailings at risk
