Double by-election due with no elected representatives
A local businesswoman has announced her candidacy for the House of Keys, in the upcoming by-election for Douglas South.
Claire Christian is a fashion designer and company director at Claire Christian Couture.
She's also behind the 'Local Companies of the Isle of Man' Facebook group, which has provided support to Manx businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Douglas South currently has no elected representatives, after the passing of Bill Malarkey MHK earlier this year, followed by the resignation of Kate Costain this week.
However, a date for the by-election hasn't yet been confirmed, having been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Thrilled to announce my candidacy for Douglas South seat at the forthcoming by-election.
