Christmas pantomime 'bespoke' to the Island

BSL and relaxed performances also planned for festive period

This year’s Christmas pantomime is 'bespoke' to the Isle of Man. 

Stage-Ed’s production of Dick Whittington will take place between 20 and 31 December at the Gaiety Theatre.  

In a twist to the original story Dick is now looking for his fortune in Laxey instead of London. 

The majority of the cast is from the Island including many youngsters – some who are taking to the stage for the first time.

Christy De Haven caught up with producer Steve Palfreman, director Mark Hilton, writer John Dixon and Dick Whittington himself who is played by Millie Christian:

There will be a British Sign Language performance on 29 December, at 7pm, where a BSL interpreter will be interpreting for deaf, deafened or hard-of-hearing patrons

There will also be a relaxed/chilled performance on 31 December, at 10.30am, which is designed for visitors with a disability or sensory sensitivities.
