Quayle makes historic statement in House of Keys
Chief Minister Howard Quayle has given an unqualified apology to men convicted for homosexual activity before the law was changed in 1994.
It came during the third reading of the Sexual Offences and Obscene Publications Bill in the House of Keys this morning.
The apology was to all people in the LGBTQ+ community past and present
The bill passed this stage unanimously and contains clauses which allow for individual pardons and to have past criminal records deleted.
